My first solo exhibition, A Jungle, Interrupted,

was an experimental audio documentary and time lapse that features key moments—reimagined and repurposed through sound—from 1965 to 1995 before, during and after the United States’ proxy war against Soviet communism in Vietnam.

This room-shaking, fifteen-minute surround sound piece traces the tragic and deadly ironies, lies, and realities comprising the Vietnam War. The piece was staged among ephemera and original illustrations by Chicago-based visual artist Keith Couture, laid bare for us to sit and listen with in the hope that we may gain a clearer understanding of the relationship between capitalism and the endless conflicts that occur for or against its profits.
